Pastor Dan Gordon
Dan grew up in Detroit, Michigan and was blessed to be raised in a Christian home. Before his seventh birthday, Dan accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior.
Around the time his family moved to Phoenix, Dan began feeling a calling into ministry. He went to Bible School after high school, but the Holy Spirit changed the direction of Dan’s life. So rather than full-time ministry, Dan served the Lord for twenty years as a volunteer.
Then in 1997, Pastor Ray Bentley asked Dan to join the staff of Maranatha Chapel. As the Holy Spirit opened the door, Dan grew as a shepherd, teacher, counsellor and ministry leader.
Then encouraged by Pastor Ray, Dan began a Bible study in San Marcos in 2005 and soon the church began meeting at Palomar College. And being greatly blessed, the church was able to move into a leased facility in the San Marcos Commerce Centre where we currently meet.
Dan has been married to his wife Ronda for 32 years and they have two children (Wes and Sarah), a son-in-law (Beau) and two grandsons (Lucas and Samuel).
